We are navigating Intangible Cultural Heritage with Sustainable Technology.

Discover how with us.

We take an interdisciplinary approach that intertwines environmental impacts and community values in researching adaptive designs of sacred spaces.

Buildings, like the people that use them, have different stories throughout their lives. We take a look at how architecture adapts to varying phases of use, as well as spaces that stay the same, throughout their history.

We ask questions such as:

When architecture adapts, does it still have spaces that preserve social values formerly cherished? Are there spaces that preserve traditional design even as use shifts?

With these questions, we can piece together the environmental footprint of a space with significant cultural heritage throughout a building’s lifespan.

Our research includes our Case Study data collection on 3 locations throughout London, and a Course Structure that outlines our research methodology for investigating new case studies.
